Fractional Gender-Design Leadership

Fractional leadership is a flexible model where organizations engage part-time design leaders to drive and guide design strategies and initiatives. In a fractional leader partnership, we will work with you part-time to build the foundations of your gender-design strategy, capacity, and team.   • A Gender Evaluation Matrix

    For IDEO’s Last Mile Money Accelerator, we co-created an evaluation matrix that allowed the team to look at venture intent, capability and commitment toward serving women. Through the matrix, the team were able to expand their definition of gender-lens investing to a more holistic one.

  • ScaleX Project: Co-designing solutions for gender-lens investing

    For GIZ’s Make-IT in Africa initiative, we brought together 25 actors from early-stage gender-lens investing ecosystem in Africa to uncover their key barriers, weave meaningful relationships and co-design solutions for their most pressing challenges to close the gender fundraising gap.

  • Mapping the female founder's fundraising journey

    We supported the Scale Up X Project at the MIT Design Lab which mapped the unique barriers female founders face during fundraising. We conducted research with female founders and accelerators to design tools that can close the gender investment readiness gap.

  • Improving Reproductive Healthcare Habits

    We supported the behavioural research and design process for this project on decreasing maternal and infant mortality rates in rural Uttar Pradesh, India. We designed board games to increase women’s comfort levels in the research process to get to the root causes behind hard wired mental models and habits.

  • Embedding Gender Metrics

    We supported the innovation team at GIZ in creating gender inclusion metrics within their overall KPIs for their next large projects phase. We designed and facilitated a workshop with key internal & external stakeholders to co-define key terms such as ‘inclusive innovation ecosystems’ and synthesised themes to inform their gender strategy, activities and metrics.
